Wedding party, airport runway, pastels and shots!
I just had the pleasure of shooting a post-pandemic wedding reception in the beautiful town of Provost, Alberta.
It was an intimate gathering with only the couple's closest friends and family.
Krista & Travis got married in 2021 with their closest loved ones, in a time where we couldn't gather in large numbers- remember that, way back when!?
So this day we carried on with all of the photography that couldn't happen on the original wedding date. All of those wedding party fun shots, as well as dinner, speeches, dancing and shots!
As a wedding photographer, I loved being a part of such a relaxed, natural celebration. Everyone was just so happy to be together again! I was able to capture some truly candid moments, from the groomsmen sharing a laugh to the bride and her son having a beautiful dance with a hug.
What I really loved is that I actually met this couple when they were in the wedding party of another one of my 2022 couples, Denee & Ryan! Travis gave an excellent best man speech to Ryan, and in return Ryan gave an epic speech back to Travis!
One of my favourite moments was during the speeches, when the couple got up to thank everyone for being there. They were so genuine and their love each other and their son was just shining through. It was one of those moments that reminds you how lucky we are to have the people we love in our lives.
Your wedding day should reflect your unique personality, preferences, and style as a couple, and they certainly did that.
Overall, it was such a fun and joyful day. I feel so privileged to have been a part of it!
