what is your style?
WE AREN'T GOOD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA,
HOW DO YOU HANDLE THAT?
Very candid! I love to tell the story from start to finish exactly how it goes. I want you to look back on your gallery and remember it as it was, not staged or posed. Just natural.
I try my best to go unnoticed, however if I feel you need it, I will give some gentle direction to get the most out of your story.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS/FILM?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 6 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints.
Films take approximately 16 weeks due to the size of the projects.
My home is in Wainwright, AB but I love to travel! There is a small charge for anything over 100 kms and if I need a hotel stay I will let you know before you book.
As I'm from the UK there is no travel charge for weddings there, I'm just happy to go back and see my family too.
HOW MANY PICTURES WILL WE RECEIVE?
WHAT IS A DOCUMENTARY FILM?
I would say I average 75 images per hour of coverage. So expect to receive around 600 images for an 8 hour wedding day.
It's a run-down of the day. Instead of a highlight film just taking smooth cinematic snapshots of the day, with a documentary film you get to relive the day as it went, with moments you might have missed. Naturally & organically.
WHAT IS A teaser FILM?
how do you capture audio?
It's a 1 minute vertical teaser video for you to share on your social media. It includes various clips from your day set to music for you to show loved ones while you wait for your full film to arrive.
Each person speaking will have a small lapel microphone attached to them which is very discreet. I like to mic both partners (I have white recorders for any white dresses!)
I also typically have a recorder on the officiants microphone, as well as plugging into the venue's soundboard if there is one. The more I can capture, the better.
can we choose our own music?
With a documentary film there is no 'backing music' - it's just whatever is captured throughout the day. If you add on the highlight film then I will choose the music (based on your interests as a couple) that is fully licensed by my music supplier, so that you are free to post online without any copyright infringement.
