These two owned this Edmonton full sun engagement session. They cemented the fact that I ADORE being a candid photographer.
Aside from a few minimal directions to best optimize the light, it allows couples to be completely themselves. I don’t like being in front of the camera myself either so I totally feel it.
We just took a stroll, and chatted about our likes & dislikes and the wedding plans. I’ve also finally found someone who dislikes moths as much as me!) and it really helps to get to know each other before the wedding day.
Engagement Photo Sessions are SO worth it. Here's why:
I know I bang on about it all the time, but honestly, having an engagement photo session, pre wedding shoot, [whatever you want to call it] makes it so much easier for everyone. Now they know what words I will say to prompt them, they know how I flow and move when photographing and what I'm looking for.
In turn, I now know their confidence levels, the way they connect with each other [whether it's touchy feely, fun and joking around or just chilling] and what their likes and dislikes are around being photographed. I learned about what to expect from them and their friends and family on the day and learned that I'm getting the exact type of people that fit my own personality [and vice versa].
I can't wait to document their big day at Lions Garden and to show you the result!
If you think we'd be a good fir for each other, then drop me a line and let's chat!
