Canmore Three Sisters Elopement

canmore mountain elopement ceremony

I got a call from Cheyenne about a month or so before their elopement date. I have honestly never encountered such a relaxed and chilled out couple describing their elopement plans.

They have two young children and have been together for so long that their priorities are different than most couples. They just wanted to spend a wonderful weekend together, elope in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and just take time to be present with each other.

It was also a complete surprise to everyone else as they hadn't told anybody they were getting hitched!

It was a cold December day when we got there, but the vibe was so chill and we had a great morning with them as they were getting ready in an AirBnB. While Cheyenne was having her hair and make up downstairs, Jessy was upstairs wring out his vows into his vow book.

We met Cole their officiant just outside of a trail that took us to a beautiful small lake with the most spectacular views of the Three Sisters mountain range in the background. We all knew instantly that this was the perfect spot for them to elope.

The ceremony itself was intimate, authentic and happy. They decided to to a shotgun in lieu of a first kiss, which was epic! It's the first shotgun I've ever experienced [not something they do in the UK where I'm from].

We took a few more pictures there before we headed across town to the Engine bridge to get some different shots. The highlight for me was turning around to see Cheyenne flashing Jessy in full view of the bridge!

If you'd like me to document your elopement then get in touch! You can see some more of my work here.
