Buffalo Lake Engagement Photos
I love it when my wedding couples want an engagement session. Why? Because it gives us time to really connect with each other.
Aside from our consultation call that we have via Zoom when we discuss the wedding plans and what a couple are looking for in a wedding photographer, the next time we would see each other in person is In face on their wedding day. A day that is always extremely busy.
This is why I love an engagement photoshoot. I can find out your likes and dislikes. I can see how you react to certain situations and gauge how much direction you need when it comes to posing for photos.
You, in turn find out exactly how I work, the wording I use for direction, and generally feeling comfortable with being in front of the camera.
I’m so excited to be Marlena & Chris’s wedding photographer in the summer. We connected straight away from the initial call and I knew that what they were looking for is exactly what I could offer them- candid, natural documenting of this life experience in which they are about to delve into.
We took a trip to Buffalo Lake, between Wainwright and Red Deer. It had such a variety of different settings to be able to achieve a variety of different looks in their photo gallery.
We started in the forest trees, then took a walk along the beach. All of this happening during the golden hour- my favourite time of day to shoot!
During the summertime there is waterskiing and fishing on the lake which is always a treat!
Like I mentioned in my previous post about things all newly engaged couples need to know in 2022, it can be a hugely overwhelming phase of your relationship as there are SO many options, ways, choices, opinions, prices, styles on how you can achieve a wedding day.
Ultimately, it is your day. As a wedding photographer, I’m there to make sure that having that day documented is as stress-free and natural as possible.
